Sahithi Literary Festival concludes

Reader completes a book when writers withdraw from the process, somewhere.
No writing is a book .The author leaves from somewhere and reader completes the circle, opined novelist Anand. He was speaking on ‘Writing map of Malayalam novels ‘ at Malayalam University’s Sahithi literary festival.
In a map, time and place have significance.Konark, Kailas, Ellora show us how did ancient people define time and place.Konark temple’s sanctum sanctorum ruined  after it‘s completion. Visitors imagine the missing portion and completes the creation.Again visitors come and the completion process is repeated.
At Kailas temple, the site is the consecration. The sculptor removes unwanted portion on the rock. The installation of an idol is done after removing unwanted parts.
Workers left Ellora cave during its construction. The visitors completes it through their imagination.Books like Alkkoottam,Mrubhoomikal Undakaunnath,Govardhan’s yathrakal were re-built by th readers-Anand said.
