Sakhavu;many questions towards communism
Humour shots in the beginning are very entertaining and satirical towards today’s politics, says Rinitha CP
Saghavu is the latest movie release with the theme of communism which now has become a new trend in Mollywood. Starring Nivin Pauly, the movie is well- written and directed by Siidharth Siva. The story line is simple and appealing. It shows both sides of people’s attitude towards communism.
It laughs at the condition of communists today and takes pride showing how the real communists are. Nivin, though doesn’t exactly has a double role, still portrays multiple characters. The major plus point of the movie is its dialogues. They are very smart, sharp, and apt.
Humour shots in the beginning are very entertaining and satirical towards today’s politics. The only average aspect of the movie is its action scenes. Direction is very good. All the artist in the movie have given great performances especially by Nivin Pauly who has gone out of the comfort zone to portray a character much older in age, as well as the short performance of actress Aparna Gopinath is worth appreciation. Aiswarya Rajesh; the female lead in the movie has given quite good performance too.
The crew of the movie ,especially the make up artists, have showcased their extreme talents in the film. All in all, the movie can get you good insight about the real ideology of communism but there still remains some imperfections to make it more inspiring.
Prasanth Pillai is the music director and George C Pillai ,cinematographer.
The film portrays how one man’s life story changes the other’s point of views ;although it might fail to change everyone’s, the movie is worth a watch.
