Save Avipuzha,environment and development workshop cautions

An environment and development workshop held at Malayalam University cautioned to take emergency actions to save Avipuzha (river Avi) from its ruin.A study report , released at the university disclosed the need to take immediate steps to save the river.
The study,with the support of university NSS unit focused on Vettam panchayath.
The river is being disrupted at many places.Water level is terribly low.The ‘death’ of this river will have serious consequences on the lives of the villagers.
Watersheds at various places have been seriously damaged.-the report says.
