School children in Kozhikode district set ready to quench the thirst of birds in hot summer.Around 4 lakh students along with their teachers joined hands with this mission.Dr.M.G.SNarayanan inaugurated the program at St.Joseph’s Boys’ School,Kozhikode.
The scheme is being launched by SAVE,a platform for promoting environment education in schools.
Children will put broad pots at school and house premises where birds can easily access water in hot summer.
Dr.M.G.S said that children will realize that this planet is equally deserved to birds and other beings just like humans.
Deputy Director of Education E.K.Sureshkumar presided over the function.SAVE district co-ordinator Vadayakkandy Narayanan spoke about the project.
Prof.Shobeendran delivered a green message. Father Varghese Anakkuzhy,Thomas Mtahew,Engineer Iqbal,Abdulla Salman, KP Alex,George Joseph,TNK Nisha,Shiny Francis spoke on the occasion.
