Shoba group pollutes water sources
Around 300 workers of Shobha group are staying at Kuttikkattur Mundupalam Road in Kozhikode..Eight persons are staying in one single room. The whole surroundings are stinky,due to filthy conditions.
Shobha group,one of the construction groups, violated all environmental rules and polluted water bodies and environment,alleged local people.The labour camp run by the real estate giant at Kuttikkattur Mundupalam Road was inspected by district administration,after a complaint raised by the residents.
The builder group,allegedly dumped toilet waste and other garbage from their building’s labour camp premise to near by rivers and paddy fields.
The company is polluting all water bodies and violating the rules for providing healthy amenities for labours.
District Collector UV Jose asked the revenue,health,and pollution control authorities to submit report on the labour camp issue,immediately. There are two sceptic tanks of 1000 litres for 300 people.

Local residents complained that they were being faced by severe health threat,due to the irresponsibility of the builders.
Tahsildar E Anitha Kumari,Environmental Assistant Engineer Souma Hameed were among the team members,who visited the sight along with District Collector UV Joseand district panchayath prresident Babu Parassery.
