Smart Ambulance traffic system
Traffic blockade is always a matter of concern for emergency situations;especially the ambulance transit,to hospitals,
Another task is the outdated system in most of the ambulances.
A group of engineering students in Kozhikode have found solutions for both these issues.
With this new system, patient-monitoring facility is arranged inside the ambulance.
This would help measure the patient’s pulse rate, blood pressure, blood level and temperature etc.
The report is conveyed to hospitals and doctor’s mobile phones, simultaneously.
Video-conferencing facility with the doctor is another advantage of this system-said Shameer PKM of Mars Innovation Technologies, who are the partners of this system development, during a press meet in Kozhikode.

Remote traffic control unit is another advantage. Before entering the traffic junctions, ambulance route is cleared with the green signal ,thanks to this technology.
For this, there would be a remote control mechanism , installed inside the ambulance to track its transit.
When pressing remote control switch, the traffic junctions can be alerted.
With these facilities, patients get easy entry to hospitals.
Micro controller,GSM,RF,Wireless systems are incorporated to make this facility, functional.
Shameer says that this system can be incorporated in existing ordinary ambulances.
It is affordable too,he said.
KMCT engineering students Nishada,Seba,Sayana,Siji developed this system with the support of MIT engineers.
KMCT Womens engineering head Noothan Hegde released this system during the inaugural occasion of MIT by minister Dr.M.K.Munner.
