Sourav Kishan bags Mullassery Raju Award

 Mullassery Raju Music Award-2020 for Best Young Musical Talent was won by Sourav Kishan, who is popular for his singing of Mohammad Rafi songs. The award ceremony and venue will be announced later due to the pandemic, said  filmmakers  Ranjith, Jayaraj  and members of the Mullassery Raju Friends Group.
September 19 was  the 18th death anniversary of Mullassery Raju who lived for music and friendship. Devasuram, a film written by Ranjith and directed by IV Sasi, is inspired by the eventful life story of this music lover from Kozhikode. P Leela, MK Arjunan, Johnson, Raveendran, Vidyasagar, Ouseppachan, Sarath, M Jayachandran and many others have previously won the Mullassery Raju Award.
Sourav Kishan, a 23-year-old native of Chevarambalam, Kozhikode, started attracting the attention of music lovers through reality shows. Rafi’s songs sung by Sourav are now going viral on social media. Anand Mahindra, Shankar Mahadevan and many others called Sourav “Chhota Rafi”. Sourav, the son of Sunil P Nedungad and Minnikarani  is a final year medical student in China.
