Start up village inaugurated
A start up village was inaugurated at the UL (Uralungal Labour) Cyber Park in Kozhikode.
Minister for Industries and Information Technology (IT) P.K.Kunhalikkutty inaugurated the village.
Infosys co-founder Chris Gopalakrishnan delivered the key note address.
Minister P.K.Kunhalikkutty said the government would support the start up village with due consideration as a government park.
The government would provide equal incentives too.
He said that the government would announce its start-up policy soon.
Kerala can become a best IT destination, if we use our resources and opportunities, adequately.
However, Calicut needs more connectivity, good transportation and airport facility to make a jump in IT sector.
If everything going well, people will come to Kerala from various parts of the world, in search of jobs-the minister opined.
It is the first IT (Special Economic Zone) park in the North Kerala and first of its kind developed by a labour contractor’s co-op society in the country.
Infosys co-founder Chris Gopalakrishnan delivered the keynote address. He urged the youth to explore IT possibilities with innovative products and services. He said that there are enough opportunities exist in delivering IT service in local language.
