Students initiative for a clean city

This Sunday morning was not a leisure day for students of Lead College of Management in Palakkad. In the early morning, around 120 students who are doing their MBA course at Leads arrived in Kozhikode city and launched their mission to clean the city.
 For many passers by ,the team with blue tea shirt and white pants was a new sight.

As part of the Compassionate Kozhikode project,these students engaged in cleaning the drainage in the new bus stand,removing posters and notices on Arayadathupalam over bridge.Among the students forty are girls.Faculty members and chairman of the college;Thomas K.George  joined students and cleaned the city. Head load workers and few shop owners in the bus-stand offered them cool drinks.

Normally people close their nose while passing out through new bus stand drainage side ,filled with black ,filthy waters.
The students removed the blockade of filthy water and cleaned the drainage. The city corporation had provided them gloves and masks.Similarly, they cleaned bus waiting shelter near the Indira Gandhi Moffusil bus stand which was crowded with notices and posters.

A faculty member Raj Kumar said three groups were working in the one day service.
He said in campus students engage in their works even in as early as 2 am in the morning .”The residential camp provides ample opportunity for students to nurture their talent.”-he said.
One of the students who cleaned city is from Afghanistan.
