Students must earn employability skill too: CU registrar
Calicut University Registrar Dr.T.A.Abdul Majeed has said the university will enhance its competitive examination coaching centres.He was inaugurating the university Information and Guidance Centres one month free P.S.C coaching classes at the campus.
Apart from conferring degrees, making students capable to grab good jobs also is the objective of the university-he said.
It is the effort of the varsity to nurture the skill in the youth.
Time has past that students merit were being considered on the basis of certificates alone.
Job providers are seeking the best students having employability-he pointed out.
A systematic practice is necessary to achieve this goal.
He urged the students to utilize the training facilities the university provide and grab good job opportunities and make that useful for the well-being of the society.
During the one month coaching camp,students from the northern district are attending.
Employment Information and Guidance Bureau Chief Dr.C.C.Harilal presided over the function.
