SUCI (Communist) leaders M. Shajar Khan,S.Mini, and its district secretary A.Shekhar demanded re-investigation into Jishnu Pranoy’s case.In a press meet in Kozhikode, today, the leaders accused Pinarayi Vijayan government for helping culprits, instead of supporting the victims.
The existing charge sheet is not enough to get justice to the Jishnu’s family. The case must be re-investigated.
The party will launch state wide protests, urging the government to take up the issue.
All the culprits to be booked. Jishnu Solidarity council,Save Education Committee, and various student-teachers organizations also will join the strike-the party said.
They invited Mahija and family to the strike.
“Mahija is a fighter. She won’t bend her knee to the government’s threat.
She would com back , more powerfully to the front”-said M.Shajar Khan, along with Mini S , who were sent to jail for protesting with Jishnu’s family in front of the DGP office in Thiruvananthapuram.
SUCI leaders have said that many CPI(M) workers are against the government action and still supporting the Jishnu family, morally.
The party is unable to convince its cadres at Valayam on this issue.
Three public meetings were organized at Valayam. Still, its workers are unhappy-said Khan.
As part of the campaign, the party will organize demonstrations and public meetings in Kozhikode district on April 29. Shajar Khan will address the meeting.
S Mini said, she saw SI Sunil Kumar kicking Mahija with his boot during the agitation in front of the DGP office,
The police had deliberately created issues,there-she added.
Shajar Khan said the SC verdict to re- instate TP Sen Kumar in the post of DGP is a welcome measure. If he had been there at the time, nothing could have been happened to Mahija and his family and supporters
