Swimming,their new skill
Sixty students belong to Govt. Achuthan Girl’s School,Chalappuram in Kozhikode received certificates in the swimming training they have undergone.
Calicut Press Club President Kamal Varadoor distributed the certificates.
He said that the secret of sports power in China is that children learn swimming in China at a very young age.
The training program ‘YES I NOW’ was jointly organised by the Department of Education and District Aquatics Association.
In the beginning 5 Mother PTA members were given training in swimming.These trained MPTA members have given coaching to the children.
School Head Mistress Sujatha teacher presided over the function.
Ward councilor Sakaria P.Husain,District Aquatic Association President Roy Joe,P.T.A.president Manjith ,Subba Lal,Bonnie Thomas,C.Abdul Nasar spoke on the occasion.
