A large number of students from various states across the country have applied for both entrance exams. Unfortunately, the exams are scheduled on same dates, depriving students of a precious chance to write the entrance exams they have opted for.
Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET- 2020) is being conducted for admission to different programmes of 14 central Universities (Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Gujrat, Haryana, Jammu, Jharkand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Odisha, Punjab,Rajasthan, South Bihar, Tamil Nadu) and 4 state Universities (Baba Gulam Shah Badshah University (Rajouhri) , Bengaluru Dr. B R Ambedkar School of Economics University, Khallikkotte University (Berhampur), Sardar Patel University of Police , Security and Criminal Justice (Jodhpur).

The Students realised the clash of dates only when they received Pondicherry University’s hall ticket after 6 pm today by mail.
A large number of students from Kerala have applied for both exams. They have to forgo one exam in the present scenario, shattering their hopes of admission in their choice.
The students complain that the central Universities while fixing the dates on entrance exams have never considered students’ interests. It is highly unfair and injustice and classic example of sheer apathy on the part of the centrally funded Universities.
The Pondicherry University should change its exam date as it was announced later, they said.
Abhishek MK, a student who applied for both entrance examinations, by paying fees to the range of Rs,2000 told the CNM that the Central University had declared the exam date earlier and the Pondicherry University declared the exam date only today.
“I am in a state of utter confusion,” he said. He has got exam center at Kannur, though he chose Calicut as the center in his application.
He has, however, got St. Joseph’s College, Devagiri as the center for CUCET.
