VC distributes NSS awards

Calicut University Vice Chancellor Dr. Khadar Mangad distributed NSS awards on Wednesday.

The awards go to NSS volunteers who work without any remuneration is a recognition of humanitarian values. Those who admire  money and position should recognize the value of these selfless services-he said.

A generation abandon some  beloved things and joining the social service by recognizing the value of service to the humanity  (Manava Seva-Madhava Seva)can be created. These qualities will help the youth to take any jobs in future.

Among the 228 NSS units under the university, Irinjalakkuda St.Joseph’s college, Chelannur SN College, Providence Women’s College, Kozhikode and Mampad MES College have been selected for the awards.

Teachers belong to these colleges; Dr.Jiji Paulose,N.N. Anusmitha,Dr.R. Sini,P. Mujeeb Rahman,respectively have been selected for the best officers awards.
The best NSS volunteers award winners are Induja Santhosh(Iringalakud St. Joseph’s College)P. Ramya (Chelannur SN College),K.P.Sijna (Providence Women’s College),T.Muhammad Sadique (Kozhikode Farook College),K. Haris (Iringalakuda Christ College) received awards from the V.C.
