VC launches ground roller at CU
- Calicut University will host the All India Inter-university Championship 2017
Calicut University Vice Chancellor Dr.K.Muhammad Basheer has launched ground roller at the university compound.It is purchased for the maintenance of the university stadium.Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr.K.Mohanan,Physical Education head Dr.V.P.Sakkir Hussain,Dr.Kesavadas,Prof.P.Surendran were present on the occasion.
Seven Hills Industries based in Chennai designed the roller that costs Rs.3.75 lakh. The mechanized- driving roller can manage the two lawns and play tracks of the university .
A grass-cutter costs Rs.1.5 lakhs also is being used for the maintenance of the ground.
University Retd .grounds man Hamsa is looking after the tracks and lawns.
the university stadium will host the All India Inter- university Atheltics Meet , this year.
