Very high TPR: tight regulations in four local bodies

Kozhikode District Collector S Samba Siva Rao said that the restrictions have been tightened by including Kattipara and Naripetta Grama Panchayats and Koduvalli and Payyoli Municipalities in the category of local bodies with very high test-positivity rates as the test positive rate crosses 25 per cent.

Kuruvattur, Chemanchery, Kayanna, Chengottukavu, Perumanna, Velam, Chelannur, Arikkulam, Thalakulathur, Eramala, Chakkittappara, Thikkodi, Madavoor, Farook Municipality, Peruvayal, Mukkam Municipality, Perampra, Ramanattukara Municipality, Kadikkad, , Thurayur, Valayam, Koothali, Olavanna, Kottur, Unnikulam, Villappally, Koyilandy Municipality, Purameri, Moodadi, Kakkur, Atholi, Ullieri, Kodiyathoor, Nadapuram, Tiruvallur, Azhiyur, Thuneri, Kizhakkoth, Kuttyadi, Mavoor, Mavoor Karassery, Kayakodi, Koorachund, Maruthongara, Nanmanda, Onchiyam, Puthuppadi, Thiruvambadi and Omassery were earlier declared as Local Self Governments with very high TPR.
No more than five people are allowed in places of worship and other ceremonies in these areas. The attending numbers  was limited to 5 at weddings and other religious, social, political and cultural gatherings. In order to perform the ceremonies, it is mandatory to register on the Covid Jagratha portal. Relevant Sectoral Magistrates and R. R. T. should also share information. Unauthorized gatherings and ceremonies must be avoided.

Institutions other than petrol pumps and medical shops are only allowed to operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Those who go to work and other daily activities must follow the Covid protocol. In hotels, meals should be served only till 7 pm. Parcels can be delivered until 9 p.m.

Violations of the protocol will result in action being taken, including closing the shop for two days or more. More serious action will be taken if deemed necessary.
