Voting machine fault reported widely in Kerala

Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) fault has been reported widely in Kerala.Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has accused the Chief Electoral Officer and the department .He said it was the result of carelessness on the part of Election Commission  officials.

Congress leader Bindu Krishna in a television discussion blamed the election authorities for using fault machines.

Machine error was reported at Kovalam and Cherthala.The similar faults have been reported from Kunnamangalam in Kozhikode,a report says. More complaints are coming out from the  different parts of the state.

EVM s found irregular at Perumanna in Kozhikode. Later,the error has been solved.

Due to the errors,voting process has become dead slow in polling booths.

When a voter pressed button for Congress candidate,he has said his vote has gone in favour of BJP candidate.It was reported in Thiruvananthapuram constituency.

Many other irregularities in EVMs have been reported from various places.

Kerala Chief Electoral Officer Tikaram Meena admitted that there was error in some EVMs.

Leader of the opposition Ramesh Chennithala  has demanded voting time should be extended in the polling stations where machine fault was reported.
