Minister for Urban Affairs Manjalam Kuzhi Ali said that the youth should get prominence in state legislatures and the parliament.
He was delivering the Republic Day message at Vikram Maidan,West Hill on the 67 th Republic Day on Tuesday.
The minister took salute from the armed forces .
The minister said India’s half of the population is youth under 25.However, the percent of the youth in Indian parliament is just 8%.A special reservation package is required for inducting youngsters in legislature assemblies and Indian should become a -he said.
